The sugar cake is an sculpture that represents Peruvian society and all its class separations and several of it’s problems. It is also an appropriation of the poster of the capitalist system from the beginning of the 20th century.


From the same art show called Runa huella (2018). The foot prints installation represents how humans contamine the earth with every step they take, this particular work had residues of computer and telephones as we are always buying the next and newest technological advances and leaving behind a trace that is mostly never recycled. The black cornucopia with it’s dice represents Peruvian politics and the element of chance involved in the Anthropocene in Latin America. The yellow Cornucopia is a part of the Coat of arms of Peru and normally has gold coins coming out, the black color here represents the oil spills and contamination as Peru continues exploring new fossil fuel ventures and does nothing about oil spills on the sea or Amazon.

Stackistica is an art work that symbolizes the average amount of plastic created by a single Peruvian in a year (30kg) in a shopping cart. This art work was featured in a scene of a movie “No me digas solterona” The biggest grossing movie directed by a Woman in Peruvian history, click on play to watch the scene.
